Mexploitation Month shifts gears

I started off with a mix of action, moved to masked wrestlers taking part in that action, then covered some films by one particular director/producer... Mr. Rene Cardona, Jr.

I'm shifting Mexploitation Month on the blog now into the horror gear since we are rapidly approaching Halloween here. For the rest of the month, look for a random little sampling of what our southern neighbors have had to offer this genre through the decades.

Mexico had a bit of a horror Renaissance so to speak in the late 50s and early 60s, producing what appears to be some excellent (and maybe not-so-excellent but still fun) Gothic horror films... well shot and well made considering their not having the budgets of a Hollywood film.

I'm a self-professed horror novice. It's a genre that, besides the surface level starts and laughs it can provide, I have not been into all that much. So maybe we all can learn something for the next week and a half or so.

Hope you enjoy!

I think it's cool that you are covering a lot of ground within Mexican genre cinema, Loaf. I do however wonder if I will not get my hot tittie quota for the week when I visit and the films are from the 50's & 60's! Your blog has great tits!

while i'm not entirely sure what tittie content i have, rest assured they will be returning in one way or another.

after i get out of the 60s, it's pretty much standard for mexican genre cinema i think
